About PIPL Compliance

The Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) is China's comprehensive data protection law that came into effect on November 1, 2021. 1.ML is committed to full compliance with PIPL for all users in the People's Republic of China.

Cross-Border Data Transfers

When transferring personal information outside of China, we comply with PIPL requirements by:

  • 1.Passing the security assessment organized by the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) where required
  • 2.Obtaining personal information protection certification from recognized institutions
  • 3.Entering into standard contracts with overseas recipients as prescribed by the CAC
  • 4.Obtaining separate consent from individuals for cross-border transfers
  • 5.Conducting personal information protection impact assessments

Data Localization

For users in China, we maintain data processing facilities within the territory of China for personal information that is required to be stored locally under applicable laws.
